Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – Cedric Moune scored 25 points to lead No. 16 Franklin & Marshall to a 72-43 victory over Muhlenberg Tuesday evening in Centennial Conference (CC) action. F&M improved to 17-3, 12-1 CC while the Mules dropped to 7-11, 4-8 CC.
Moune shot 8-for-11 and hit 9-of-10 shots from the line for his game-high 25. Brandon Federici scored 13 and Hunter Eggers finished with 12 points to along with five assists and four steals. Matthew Tate had seven points for the Diplomats.
F&M jumped out to an early 12-0 lead with 10 points from Moune in the opening six minutes of action. The Mules finally got on the board at 13:14 in first and came within six, 15-9, at 10:47. F&M answered with a 10-3 run to go up 28-12 and cruised into the break with a 36-19 advantage.
The Diplomats maintained its double-digit advantage in the second and took a 54-41 lead at 9:52 on an Eggers three. F&M went on a 10-3 run over the next three minutes and went up 64-34 and led by at least 22 the remainder of the game.
F&M outshot Muhlenberg 47-29-percent and forced 26 turnovers that resulted in 31 points.
The Diplomats continue CC action on Saturday when F&M travels to Swarthmore for a 3:00 p.m. game.
