NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 14 women's squash team took down No. 15 Middlebury by a 6-3 margin on Saturday evening in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) at the CSA Team Championships, hosted the Yale.
The victory propelled the Diplomats (6-9) into tomorrow's consolation final where F&M will face off against No. 13 George Washington at 11:30 a.m.
By the Numbers
The Diplomats earned wins in each of the top three positions, including a 3-2 marathon victory at the No. 3 spot by Emily Caldwell. Andreina Benedith was involved in an epic match at No. 6, falling by a tightly-contested 3-2 score that featured a 20-18 loss in the second.
Six of the nine contests went past three games with three reaching five.
