Diplomats Dominate in Homecoming Victory

LANCASTER, Pa. – Keshon Farmer scored four touchdowns to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 40-6 victory over Moravian in Centennial Conference (CC) football action Saturday afternoon at Shadek Stadium. The Diplomats improved to 6-2, 5-2 CC, while the Greyhounds dropped to 5-3, 4-3 CC.

The Diplomats dominated most of the game and outgained the Greyhounds 405-187 yards on offense, while holding a 33:16-26:44 edge in time of possession. F&M took the early lead on a perfect 29-yard pass from Tanner Erisman to K.J. Pretty for a 6-0 lead a little over six minutes into the game.

F&M went up 12-0 when Joe Hartley-Vittoria raced in from 13-yards out to cap off a 4-play, 84-yard drive. The Greyhounds answered with their only score of the game early in the second and came within six, 12-6, with 14:13 on the clock.

Farmer took over from there.

Framer scored four consecutive touchdowns leading F&M to 28 unanswered points to close out the game.

His first two scores came on runs of 15 and 2 yards in the second quarter to make it 26-6 at the break.

The action slowed down in the final half with neither team finding pay dirt in the third quarter. Farmer ended with another two-score quarter, finding the end zone with a 1 and 32-yard run for the final scores of the game.

Joe Hartley-Vittoria led all rushers with 130 yards on 21 carries and a score. Keshon Farmer racked up 94 yards on 18 carries with four touchdowns. Tanner Erisman completed 9-of-15 passes for 192 yards and a score and K.J. Pretty hauled in three catches for 71 yards and one touchdown.

Sebastian Silva-Muniz led the defense with six stops, Shawn Levondosky, and Bobby McDevitt had five tackles each and Vincent Speranza ended with four tackles, including 1.5 sacks. Thomas Downs had four stops with two pass breakups, while Joe Granahan ended with three tackles, including 1.5 for a loss and a sack. He is now one sack away from breaking the school and Centennial Conference sack record held by C.T. Marsh '12.

F&M returns to action on Saturday in the regular season home finale as the Diplomats host Ursinus at 1:00 p.m.
