Box Score

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 5 field hockey program secured another Centennial Conference (CC) victory on Saturday, defeating Washington College in 3-0 fashion.

The Diplomats improved to 13-1, 7-0 CC while the Shorewomen fell to 3-10, 2-6 CC.

After a scoreless first half, F&M finally broke through when Lily Mynott found Darby Klopp in the 35th minute to take a 1-0 lead.

In the waning moments of the third quarter, it was Klopp finding Mynott in the middle of the circle for a 45th-minute goal to extend the lead over Washington to 2-0.

The Diplomats received some insurance in the fourth quarter on Klopp's second goal of the day and 10th goal of the season. The unassisted score gave F&M a 3-0 lead in the 51st minute, the final score of the game.

Christina Seery (13-1) and the vaunted Diplomat defense tallied the team's eighth shutout of the season.

As a team, the Diplomats outshot the Shorewomen 15-2 with a 7-0 differential in the second half.

F&M returns to CC play Wednesday night on Tylus Field at 7:00 PM as McDaniel comes to Lancaster.
