BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's basketball team took a decisive 74-24 victory over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) action Monday Night.
The Diplomats improved to 3-3, 2-1 CC while the Owls fell to 0-5, 0-3 CC.
After a minute and a half of scoreless play, Kenna Williams recorded the game's first bucket with 7:24 left in the opening frame. Kristin Hamill and Alisyn Narracci each scored four points as the Diplomats led 18-5 after one.
F&M opened the second quarter with a Meg Navarro three-pointer that sparked a 7-0 run and didn't look back, outscoring the Owls 15-5 across the stanza. A last-second jumper by Bryn Mawr's Ella Kotsen made the score 33-10 in favor of the Diplomats heading into the break.
The Diplomats scored 12 unanswered points, including five from Maggie White, to extend the lead to 42-10 as F&M coasted to the 74-24 victory.
Hamill's 18 points paced the offense. Narracci poured in 12, converting 2-of-3 from distance and all four free-throw attempts.
Williams continued to show her prowess on the glass, picking up a game-high 11 rebounds.
D'Naisha Bellamy-Greene and Kenzie Bradley each picked up three assists off the bench.
F&M forced 21 turnovers while surrendering just eight. The Diplomats also shot 85.7 percent from the free-throw line on 14 attempts while surrendering just four attempts to the Owls.
Hosting Haverford in CC play, the Diplomats return to action Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in Lancaster.
