Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team earned a hard-fought victory at Dickinson in Wednesday night Centennial action.
The Diplomats improve to 10-2, 2-0 CC while the Red Devils fall to 8-4, 1-1 CC.
F&M fell in the first set of the night, but nearly forced extra points as the Diplomats were outscored just 25-22 by Dickinson.
The Diplomats bounced back in a big way, though, in set two. F&M took down the Red Devils 25-17, the largest differential of any set in the match.
Dickinson was not prepared to give up, nearly forcing extra points in set three as F&M took a 25-22 set victory to pull ahead in the match, 2-1.
F&M finished off the Red Devils in the fourth set. Another tight contest saw the Diplomats take the set 25-19 and clinch the match victory.
Grace Polisano's season-high 13 kills paced the Diplomat offense.
Grace Maggiore had 40 assists and 16 digs, leading the team in both categories.
F&M hosts a tri-match Saturday, facing Haverford at 12:00 p.m. and Scranton at 5:00 p.m.
