LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 59-50 decision over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Thursday night.

The Diplomats improved to 5-8, 3-5 CC while the Green Terror fell to 3-8, 0-7 CC.

McDaniel got the early edge, taking a 14-8 lead with 1:38 to go in the first. F&M clicked in the final minute to tie up the game, 14-14, by the end of the frame thanks to two Sarosha Parsons layups and a pair of Alisyn Narracci free throws.

Parsons came out in the second quarter with two more layups. Kenna Williams splashed two free throws to give the Diplomats a 20-14 lead at 6:18, capping a 12-0 run that began back in the first quarter. The Green Terror went on a 14-5 run to narrow the deficit to just one point, 29-28, before Williams knocked down two more free throws that gave F&M some breathing room, 31-28, heading into the break.

The Green Terror began the second half on a 5-0 run to go ahead 33-31 less than two minutes into the third. The Diplomats answered by closing out the stanza on a 16-2 advantage over the final 7:18 courtesy of 11 combined points from Kristin Hamill and Maia Lockhart. F&M entered the fourth with a 47-35 lead.

The Diplomats kept McDaniel in check for the duration of the fourth, leading by as many as 16 points. The Green Terror did not cut the deficit to single-digits until a Mallory Conroy layup beat the buzzer to make the final score 59-50.

F&M held a 38-30 advantage on the glass while outshooting McDaniel from the field (40%-30%) and at the free-throw line (86%-75%).

Williams paced the offense with 18 points while grabbing 10 boards for her seventh double-double of the season. The sophomore also swatted four McDaniel shot attempts. It marked the fourth time this season that Williams has collected four or more blocks.

Sarosha Parsons added 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line and Emily Moran scored 12 points on 5-of-12 from the field.

Hamill chipped in with six points and eight boards.
