Series History
F&M returns to Lancaster for a Wednesday night Centennial Conference (CC) matchup with Dickinson. The Diplomats extended their winning streak over the Red Devils to four when the two faced off in December.
The Diplomats hit the road to face Muhlenberg on Sunday. F&M has beaten the Mules in the last two matchups and owns a 15-2 mark in the series since 2012.
F&M Last Time Out
F&M went 1-1 last week with a 70-58 win over McDaniel on Thursday, before falling to No. 1 Swarthmore 85-68 on Saturday.
Against McDaniel, Solomon Mathis scored a game-high with 21 points off the bench hitting 7-of-10 from floor, including 3-for-4 from behind the arc. Brian Hines ended with 14 points, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor, while Ignas Slyka finished with 10 for the Diplomats.
Solomon Mathis led the Diplomats with 21 points in the Swarthmore game, hitting 8-of-16 from the floor and Justin Kupa netted 19. Brian Hines ended with a double-double as he chipped in 10 points and pulled down 10 boards.
Last Time F&M Met Dickinson
F&M ended the first half of the season with a 90-81 double-overtime win over Dickinson in December. Full Recap.
Solomon Mathis poured in 24 off the bench, hitting 9-for-12 from the floor. Brian Hines finished with a double-double pulling down 10 boards and scoring 22 points, while Ignas Slyka chipped in 13 and Mike Rice added 10 points for the Diplomats.
Last Time F&M Met Muhlenberg
F&M won a 74-72 overtime thriller when Justin Kupa dropped in a buzzer-beating jumper from the elbow. Full Recap.
Justin Kupa ended with a career-high 31 points, hitting 10-of-20 from the floor, and 9-of-11 from the line. Brian Hines ended with a double-double, netting 21 points while pulling down 11 boards and Les Thomas along with Bo Williams both finished with eight points.
Among the Leaders (CC)
As of Feb. 10, Brian Hines (62.8 percent) and Solomon Mathis (52.4 percent) are first and ninth, respectively, in the CC in field goal percentage. To qualify for the shooting title, players must participate in 60 percent of team games and make three field goals per contest.
Ignas Slyka (2.9) and Justin Kupa (2.6) enter the week first and second in the Conference, respectively, in steals per game. They are the only two players averaging more than 2.0 steals per contest in the CC.
Saying Goodbye to a Legend
Following the 3:00 p.m. game on Feb. 22 against Ursinus, there will be a special presentation honoring Coach Robinson for his over 50 years of service at Franklin & Marshall College. A light reception will follow the presentation.
