Series History
Franklin & Marshall first met William Smith in 1994 when the Herons emerged a 16-14 winner during the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The two teams did not meet again for 10 years before playing four straight years in Florida. F&M has won the last two meetings but the all-time series has been dormant since 2007. Should Meredith advance from Saturday's contest, it would mark the first-ever meeting between the Diplomats and the Avenging Angels.
