LANCASTER, Pa. – Lauren Pittman was named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division III Preseason Player of the Year to highlight a Division III-best five Diplomats who earned preseason All-America recognition from the national organization. In addition to Pittman being named both the Player and Attacker of the Year, Belle Dintino joined her classmate as a first-team preseason All-America selection. Sara DiGiovanni (second team), Julia Carbon (honorable mention), and Sophia Geibel (honorable mention) also earned preseason recognition.
Lauren Pittman has scored 185 goals and added 66 assists for a total of 251 career points entering her senior season. Her scoring has certainly been impactful with 18 career game-winning goals to rank second in school history, just six behind the school record. Just four players in program history have scored at least 200 goals in their career, while six have recorded at least 300 points as she pursues those milestones this season. In addition to her scoring, Pittman has registered over 100 draw controls during each of the past two seasons to rank third in school history.
Pittman is already a two-time first-team IWLCA All-American and is a three-time All-Centennial Conference honoree. She has received conference player of the week honors five times during her career. Three of those weekly honors have come on the attacking side of the field in addition to two such honors on the defensive side of the ball.
Senior Belle Dintino earned first-team preseason All-America recognition and enters the 2026 season as a three-time USA Lacrosse All-America who additionally received first-team IWLCA All-America honors during the 2024 season. Named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 to highlight three first-team All-CC selections, Dintino has started all 65 games she has played in during her career. Entering her senior campaign, she ranks fourth in school history with 87 caused turnovers and 13th with 122 ground balls. Dintino's 93 draw controls are also among the top 20 players in F&M history.
Sara DiGiovanni emerged as the Diplomats' starting goalie last season and earned second-team recognition in the preseason All-America release. DiGiovanni posted a career-best .520 save percentage when she took over the starting role and allowed just 8.43 goals per game while leading her team to an 18-3 mark as the goalie of record. Named the Centennial Conference Tournament MVP in addition to first-team all-conference and second-team all-region accolades, DiGiovanni ranks among the top 15 players in a career in each of those categories entering her senior season.
Julia Carbon earned honorable mention All-America recognition at the draw ahead of her senior season. Carbon has played in 57 career games entering the 2026 season and emerged a starter last spring. Her 102 draw controls during the 2025 campaign was the fifth-best single season total in program history and has her ranked ninth in school history for career draw controls (130). Carbon secured 12 draw controls against both Ursinus and Messiah last season for the second-highest single game totals in school history. She has also been effective in transition with nine career goals on just 16 shots on goal.
Sophia Geibel also received honorable mention All-America honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine. Starting 39 of 43 games during her first two seasons with the Diplomats, Geibel has caused 34 turnovers and scooped up 54 ground balls. Her highest ground ball total came with four during the 2024 campaign against Rowan while she has forced three takeaways during three different contests to date.
Entering the season as three-time defending Centennial Conference Champions, women's lacrosse opens the season as the No. 6 team in the national rankings according the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA). F&M begins its 2026 season on the road when the team travels to Washington and Lee on Sunday, February 15 for a 12 p.m. noon opening draw.
