Box Score SCRANTON, Pa. -- A pair of braces from Alison Francis and Bri Skidmore helped Franklin & Marshall (5-0-0) roll past Marywood (2-2-0) by a 6-0 final on Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
Reigning Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive Player of the Week Sierra Brophy continued her hot stretch of play, tallying a first minute goal off a helper from Francis for a 1-0 advantage.
Francis got one on her own in the 16th minute, followed by Skidmore's first of the game in the 35th off a feeder from Catie Kaseta for a 3-0 lead going into the half.
Dahlia Pepe kept things rolling in the second half, finding twine off an assist from Skidmore in the 61st minute for a 4-0 edge.
Skidmore polished off her second goal of the match off an Emily Cleary assist in the 79th minute to extend the lead to 5-0.
Francis tacked on the exclamation point in the 90th minute for the 6-0 final.
F&M dominated Marywood in shots (29-5), shots on goal (16-1), and corners (7-0). Dahlia Pepe and Alison Francis led the Diplomats with six shots each, followed by Meg O'Callahan with five and Bri Skidmore with four.
Sara Ghorashi went coast to coast in net, making one save for the shutout victory - her second of the season.
The Diplomats look to keep this stellar run of play going as CC play begins this Saturday against Washington College beginning at 4:00pm in Chestertown, Md.
