Field Hockey Blanks Dickinson, 4-0

Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin and Marshall field hockey team (9-3, 5-0 CC), who's receiving votes in the National Poll, recorded its fourth-consecutive shutout in a 4-0 victory over Dickinson (1-11, 0-6 CC) Wednesday evening at Tylus Field.

Jessica Miller led the Diplomats on the offensive attack, scoring two goals in the match. Miller got the scoring started just five minutes in the game off a feed from Darby Klopp that she sent into the bottom-right corner of the net. Miller also scored with three minutes left in the game after capitalizing on a loose ball in front of the net. The forward continues her hot streak as she has now scored four goals in her last three games.

Sophie Carroll rocketed her sixth goal of the season with just over a minute left in the first half to put F&M up 2-0 in the game. The final scorer for the Diplomats was Grace Fass as she tipped in a pass from Avery Niedland with 1:34 left in the game. The score was Fass' second goal of the season, and Niedland's first point of the year.

The Diplomats brought a heavy offensive attack into Wednesday's game as they outshot the Red Devils, 20-4.

F&M travels to face Swarthmore Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
