Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa.- The No. 24 Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team (8-2-3, 3-2-2 CC) was defeated by Swarthmore (11-2-1, 5-1-1 CC) in Wednesday afternoon's Centennial Conference match.
Sierra Brophy scored her fifth goal in three games in just the second minute of the match. Meg O'Callahan sent a beautiful feed through the Swarthmore defense, finding the foot of Brophy who buried her shot in the back of the net for her team-leading tenth goal of the season. O'Callahan also extended her point streak to three games with her team-high sixth assist of the fall.
F&M outshot Swarthmore 29-3 in the match, but two Swarthmore goals late in the first half were costly as the Diplomats couldn't find the equalizer.
O'Callahan had a team-high three shots on goal, while Brophy, Alison Francis, and Emily Cleary each recorded two shots on target in the contest.
No. 24 F&M looks to bounce back at home against Lebanon Valley Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
