LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team (5-7, 2-5 CC) overwhelmed Swarthmore (4-7, 2-4 CC), 57-50, in its Centennial Conference matchup Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center.

Kennedy Wilburn posted a game-high 16 points and 15 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the 2022-23 campaign. Ally Trebelev also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds coming off the bench. It is the first double-double of Trebelev's career.

Leading 30-27 in the first minute of the third quarter, F&M scored nine unanswered points to cushion its lead to 39-27 with 5:33 left in the period. The Diplomats scored the first seven points of the run at the free throw line with Lizzie Neville, Jaclyn Feit, and Wilburn making two each, and Trebelev chipping one in. The run ended with Neville finding Natalie Kolb in stride for an open layup.

Quinn Galligan started the Diplomats' scoring in the fourth quarter with a layup off a feed from Wilburn to give F&M a 47-34 lead. After Swarthmore added two points, Trebelev converted layups on consecutive possessions to give Franklin and Marshall a 15-point lead for its largest lead of the contest.

In addition to her double-double, Wilburn also swiped four steals and tallied three assists. Feit swatted seven shots, while corralling seven rebounds in the win. Hope Schreiber racked up eight points with two three-pointers in the victory.

F&M looks to build off the win when it travels to face Gettysburg Thursday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
