No. 25 Men's Soccer Picks Up 3-1 Win at Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The No. 25 Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (6-1-2, 1-0-2 CC) rolled to a 3-1 victory on the road at Ursinus (6-2, 1-2 CC) in Wednesday evening's Centennial Conference (CC) contest.

F&M broke into the scoring column first after Michael Desmond drew a foul in the box to set up a penalty kick in the sixth minute of the match. Oscar Horwitz took the penalty kick and placed his shot in the bottom-right corner of the net for his conference-leading ninth goal of the season.

The Diplomats added insurance in the 22nd minute as Adeon Muyskens intercepted a pass from the Ursinus goalkeeper. Muyskens beat the keeper with a shot inside the right post for his first-career score - putting F&M up 2-0 in the contest.

Franklin & Marshall outshot Ursinus 11-6 in the first half.

The Diplomats continued to add to their lead in the 59th minute of play as Koa Kaliebe scored on a laser of a shot off a free kick to make the score 3-0.  The score was Kaliebe's fifth of the fall and second goal in as many games.

F&M totaled 23 shots with nine on target in the match. Kaliebe led the game with five shots, followed by Horwitz recording three in the victory.

Goalkeeper Levi Kline earned his fourth win in net, tying a season-high in saves with four.

Franklin & Marshall continues its road trip at McDaniel Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
