LANCASTER, Pa. - An early goal by No. 8 Messiah led to the third straight loss for the Franklin & Marshall Field Hockey team.
Less than four minutes into the first quarter, Aubrey Clark buried a shot into the cage, assisted by Kelsey Heltzel, for the lone goal of the night.
At the halfway point, The Falcons out-shot the Diplomats 7-2, with
Sophie Carroll registering both shots for F&M.
The Diplomats began the third period with a more aggressive approach, tallying three shots in just over six minutes into the quarter. However, three saves by Eva Hancock led to a scoreless frame.
F&M would not get another shot off for the rest of the contest, as it fell to Messiah, 1-0.
In her second straight start,
Meghan Dole made four saves in five shots on goal faced.
The Diplomats will stay at home to take on Montclair State on Saturday, September 9 at 3 p.m. at Tylus Field.
