MEDFORD, Mass. – The Franklin & Marshall women's squash team opened its weekend on the road with a tough match at No. 12 Tufts on Saturday. The Diplomats battled up and down the lineup, but it was the Jumbos who held the edge late during the crucial points in the 9-0 team final.

Gurlin Kaur highlighted Saturday's action for F&M when she took a 14-12 second game at the top of the ladder in what was the most competitive match of the afternoon. The Jumbos' No. 1 player claimed a hard-fought 11-9 game to start that match, but Kaur quickly rebounded with the second game win. That battle at the top of the lineup ultimately finished with the Jumbo claiming an 11-7 victory during the clinching fourth game.

Franklin & Marshall was its most competitive at the top of the lineup where Aryaa Ogale (No. 2) and Cate Costin (No. 3) were also locked in respective 11-8 and 11-9 battles that finally fell into the hands of the hosts late in those games.

Following a string of consecutive road trips to start the 2024 calendar year, the No. 23 Diplomats will return home to the Mayser Squash Courts where they are set to battle No. 27 Connecticut College on Sunday. That match – which will be a doubleheader alongside the men – gets underway at 12 p.m. noon in Lancaster.
