GENEVA, N.Y. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team was turned away on the road at No. 14 William Smith, 7-2, in Saturday afternoon's contest. The Diplomats fall to 4-11 on the season, while the Herons move to 8-3 on the year. F&M earned wins in the No. 2 and No. 6 slots, but were denied in the remaining matches.
Aryaa Ogale claimed a 3-1 win in the No. 2 slot for her ninth victory of the season. Ogale overcame a 1-0 deficit by winning three-straight games by scores of 11-9, 11-6, and 11-9 to pull off the win.
Tatum Long also tallied a win with a 3-2 victory in the No. 6 slot for her sixth of the year. Long outlasted her opponent in a five-game thriller by claiming a 12-10 victory in the fifth game for the win.
Franklin & Marshall continues its road trip when it heads to No. 21 Saint Lawrence for a match on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
