LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 24 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team was defeated in its home opener by No. 3 Penn, 9-0, Friday evening at the Mayser Squash Courts. Penn didn't allow the Diplomats to win a single game, claiming 3-0 sweeps in all nine matches.
Rory Dasher had the best opportunity to earn a game-win for the Diplomats in the No. 6 slot as she was narrowly defeated 11-9 in the first.
Gurlin Kaur (No. 1) and
Lavanya Seshasayee (No. 8) also kept a close score in each game of their respective matches, but couldn't gain an edge on their opponents.
No. 24 Franklin & Marshall looks to rebound on Saturday as it plays a doubleheader in Philadelphia. The Diplomats play No. 23 Chatham at 10:00 a.m., before taking on No. 19 Dickinson at 2:30 p.m.
