PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 22 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team fell short in the Walker Cup finals to Wesleyan, 5-4, in the CSA Team National Championships Sunday morning. The Diplomats fall to 8-15 on the season, while Wesleyan improves to 11-8 this year.
F&M earned victories in the top four slots, but the bottom-five matches were all claimed by Wesleyan – allowing the Cardinals to push past the Diplomats.
Aryaa Ogale improved her season-win total to 14 with a 3-0 sweep in the No. 2 position.
Gurlin Kaur also picked up a sweep in the No. 1 slot to earn her eighth victory of the year.
Cate Costin (No. 3) and
Zarine Gidwaney (No. 4) each picked up their seventh wins of the season. Costin downed her opponent, 3-1, while Gidwaney cruised to a sweep in her match.
Franklin & Marshall now gets set for the CSA Individual Championships, beginning on March 8.
