LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (4-6, 1-1 CC) claimed its first Centennial Conference (CC) victory of the season, 9-0, over Dickinson (7-4, 0-2 CC) Tuesday afternoon inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center. The Diplomats were dominant throughout the day – sweeping both the singles and doubles matches for their second-consecutive 9-0 win.
The duo of
Zac Ashtiani and
Anthony Casale earned a hard-fought 8-5 victory in the first doubles match of the day for their third win together this season. In the middle doubles match,
Luke Brodsky and
Campbell Gervais swept their opponents, 8-0, for their fifth win as a duo this year. The pairing of
Dylan Maudsley and
Pedro Norte picked up their second doubles' win of the season with an 8-1 victory in the final doubles match of the day.
In the singles matches, Brodsky (No. 1), Ashtiani (No. 2),
Samuel Donnelly (No. 3), and Norte (No. 5) all earned their sixth singles' victories of the season. Brodsky and Ashtiani both downed their respective opponents, 6-1, 6-1. Donnelly earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory, while Norte won his singles' match, 6-1, 6-1.
Daniel Feigelson (No. 4) and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach (No. 6) rounded out the Diplomats in the singles' matches to each earn their fifth wins of the year. Feigelson won his match 6-2, 6-0, while Rudin-Aulenbach completed an 8-3 victory.
Franklin & Marshall gets set for another Centennial Conference foe on Wednesday when it hosts Muhlenberg at 4:00 p.m.
