Abby Silinski was named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week following her performances across two wins for the (RV) Diplomats last week. It's F&M's first Defense Player of the Week award earned this year and the team's third overall weekly award of 2025.
Silinski's passing was key to a 2-0 week for Franklin & Marshall, as the Diplomats swept Elizabethtown on Wednesday before defeating Haverford in four sets to open Centennial Conference play. Across the seven sets played, she averaged 4.86 digs/set (34 total) with one ace and seven assists. In Wednesday's win over Elizabethtown, she posted a career-best 19 digs (6.33 digs/set) with two digs and one ace, while she recorded 15 digs (3.75 digs/set) with five assists in the win against Haverford on Saturday.
The (RV) Diplomats look for their second Centennial Conference win when they travel to McDaniel on Wednesday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m.
