LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team (6-2-3, 2-1-2 CC) and McDaniel (4-4-4, 1-2-2 CC) played Wednesday evening's Centennial Conference (CC) contest to a 1-1 tie under the lights at Tylus Field. The Diplomats opened the scoring in the 48th minute, but the Green Terror answered with a goal of their own in the 84th to tie the game.
The first half of the contest ended without a goal, but F&M outshot McDaniel, 12-0, in the opening period. The Diplomats continued their dominance on offense to start the second half as
Ellison Errington scored her sixth goal of the season in the 48th minute to put F&M ahead, 1-0.
Franklin & Marshall controlled possession for a majority of the second half, but McDaniel capitalized off one of their three corner kicks to tie the game in the 84th minute of the match.
The Diplomats peppered the Green Terror net with 23 total shot attempts and 10 shots on goal in the contest.
Emerson McDonald led F&M with seven shots, while
Grace Craig and Errington followed with four attempts each.
Franklin & Marshall wraps up its three-game home stand on Saturday, hosting Mary Washington at 3:00 p.m.
