WATERVILLE, Maine – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (3-10) was defeated, 9-0, on the road at No. 21 Colby (4-6) Friday evening. The Diplomats won games in the No. 5 and No. 6 matches, but Colby won all nine of the individual matches with sweeps in seven of the contests.
Tatum Long jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with an 11-7 victory in the opening game of the No. 5 match. However, her opponent responded by winning three-straight games, 11-3, 11-5, 11-6, to claim the victory in the match.
Rory Dasher tied the No. 6 match up at 1-1 with an 11-3 win in the No. 6 slot, but her opponent claimed victories in the final two games to earn the match-win.
No. 23 Franklin & Marshall now turns its attention to a match with No. 17 Bowdoin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
