Men's Swimming Places Four on CSC Academic All-District Team®

GREENWOOD, Ind.- The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team placed four student-athletes onto the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving Division III Team including Ben Lockey, Brady Saunders, Henry Tavens, and Evan Willertz.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Lockey placed Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight season earlier this year. Competitively, Lockey was part of the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay teams that earned second place at the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship. He was also an A Finalist in the 50 freestyle and B Finalist in both the 100 breaststroke and the 100 freestyle. He set F&M's eighth-best 100 IM time this season, while the 400 freestyle relay team set the fourth-best time in program history. 

Saunders also placed on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight season. 

Tavens earned a spot on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight season. At the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, he was second in the 200 freestyle, setting the program's second-best time in the event at 1:39.42, and 400 freestyle relay, where the team set F&M's fourth-best time. He set F&M's third-best relay split in program history in the event at 44.78  He also earned B Final spots in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. He was on the 800 freestyle relay team that set the fifth-best time in program history, while he set the program's best 200 freestyle split in the event at 1:38.90. 

Willertz also earned a second-consecutive spot on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. He was a B Finalist in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. This year, he was on the 800 freestyle relay team that set the fifth-best time in program history and the 200 medley relay team that set the program's tenth-best time in the event. 

The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team ended the 2024-25 season with a 5-5, 3-3 Centennial Conference record and a third-place finish at the Centennial Conference Swimming Championship.
