LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's and women's cross country teams have announced their 2025 schedules. Both teams are scheduled to compete in four races during the regular season before the postseason gets started on the first Saturday of November.
The 2025 season begins at home on Baker Campus as the Diplomats host their opening meet on Friday, August 29 at 6 p.m. After starting the season at home, F&M will make its first of three trips to Gettysburg during the fall with the running of the Little Three Meet. That tri-meet – which also features Dickinson – is set for a 5:15 p.m. start on Friday, September 5.
Following two short course races, the Diplomats have nearly a month of training before competing at the prestigious Paul Short Run on Friday, October 3. Hosted by Lehigh University, the Paul Short Run is one of the largest cross country meets across the entire country. F&M's regular season schedule concludes with the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday, October 18.
Gettysburg will also serve as the host of the Centennial Conference Championship on Saturday, November 1. Fellow Centennial Conference foe Dickinson hosts the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday, November 15, with qualifying teams and athletes advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday, November 22.
Both the men's and women's cross country teams have the benefit of talented underclassmen looking to build on their postseason experiences from a season ago. The women posted their best finish at the Centennial Conference Championships since 2019 with a sixth place showing at last year's conference championship. The men's team had three rising sophomores lead the team at the conference championship last year and will look to build on that experience during the coming year. Head coach John Stoudt will be entering his 18th season leading the Diplomats during the 2025 season.
