WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The No. 27 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (2-5) returned to the courts Friday afternoon for the first time in the new year. In their first match back, the Diplomats fell to No. 15 Williams (2-3), 9-0, with the Ephs winning eight of the nine individual matches by a final score of 3-0.
Mia Todd battled in the No. 3 slot as she earned an 11-8 victory during the third game to cut the deficit to 2-1. However, Williams' Frances Brooks claimed a win in the fourth game, 11-5, to take the match, 3-1.
Joey Ho (No. 5) took the third game of her match to the brink as she faced a 2-0 deficit. Ho kept it close, but Roshni Pal of the Ephs held off the Diplomat to win the game, 11-8, and secure the match win.
No. 27 Franklin & Marshall looks to bounce back on Saturday as it travels to face No. 16 Middlebury at 1:00 p.m.
