HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Haverford on Saturday afternoon. Chancey Garcia made five saves during her first career start and appearance, but it was not enough to hold back a Fords offense that finished with 23 shots throughout the match.
The Diplomats seemed to have the upper hand in creating chances during the opening part of the match, including a shot over the crossbar just prior to Haverford going up 1-0. A persistent F&M defense initially blocked two attempts from Haverford before Jonathan D'Amour scored his third goal of the season during the 21st minute of play.
Corner kick opportunities were scarce for either team, with only four attempts for the Fords being registered. The hosts converted one of those few chances during the 57th minute of play on a goal from John Dowd. Just three minutes later, the Centennial Conference's leading goal scorer added another as Charles Sharp registered his 13th goal of the season.
Offensively for the Diplomats, Ellis Boyle was one of five players who recorded a shot as he finished with two attempts in the Centennial Conference match up.
Men's soccer wraps up the 2026 season at home next Saturday, October 31 against McDaniel with a 6 p.m. start under the Tylus Field lights. That game will also be Senior Day for the three members of the team's graduating class.
