LANCASTER, Pa. – The cancellation of the Paul Short Run gave the Franklin & Marshall women's cross country team the unique opportunity for a second home meet during the 2026 season as the Diplomats hosted Millersville, Lebanon Valley, and Lancaster Bible in a quad meet on Thursday evening.
Tara Silverman remained undefeated on her home course this season as she won the 5,000-meter race in dominating fashion, finishing almost 50 seconds ahead of her competition. Silverman completed the course in personal-best time of 17:53.5. She was one of seven runners who finished with a personal best cross country time for F&M at the 5,000-meter distance. Although Silverman was the individual champion, Millersville took the team title with five of the top eight finishers.
Breaking up that lead pack of Marauders were Katie Scott (19:58.4) and Jordyn Collie (20:06.5) who finished in the fifth and sixth positions. Georgia Hodgson added a top 10 finish in the field of 37 runners as she crossed the line in 20:23.1.
Three first-years rounded out the Diplomats' top seven runners. Clara Pallordet (20:48.0) led that rookie contingent with a 12th-place finish. Courtney Carlson (20:56.7) and Teagan Altman (21:01.7) finished in back-to-back spots, with first-year Layli Katirai also posting a personal best time (21:59.8).
With the recent schedule changes, the Diplomats wrap up the regular season next Saturday, October 17 at Gettysburg's Aubrey Shenk Invitational. The postseason begins with the Centennial Conference Championship on Saturday, October 31.
