COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- For the 14th consecutive season and 22nd time overall, the Franklin & Marshall field hockey team earned the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2025 National Team Academic Award.
This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.50 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
The NFHCA celebrated the 78 Division III teams with the esteemed 2025 National Academic Team Award.
Middlebury College turned in the highest GPA in all of Division III, securing the top spot with an overall 3.90. Close behind, Swarthmore College landed in second place with a collective team GPA of 3.86. Shenandoah claimed the third team spot with a 3.84.
The No. 14 Franklin & Marshall field hockey team (15-4, 8-2 Centennial Conference) wrapped up the 2025 season with an appearance in the Centennial Conference Tournament Semifinals for the fourth consecutive season and team's best overall winning percentage (.789) since the 2019 season. Among Centennial Conference teams, F&M ranked first in scoring average (3.28) and scoring margin (2.07), slotting in the top 25 in both categories nationally. The Diplomats spent ten consecutive weeks ranked in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III national Coaches Poll, ending at No. 14 with a season-best rank of No. 13.
