LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (6-12) came up just short against No. 22 Hamilton (8-9), 5-4, in Sunday morning's match at the Mayser Center Squash Courts. The Diplomats won the top-three matches, but Hamilton claimed victories in five of the bottom-six to take the team victory. Mia Todd swept her opponent in the No. 3 match as she won by a final tally of 11-0, 12-10, 11-4 for her ninth individual victory this season.
Elisabeth Stout earned her seventh win of the year and second victory in a row as she took down her opponent in the No. 7 slot. Tied at 1-1, Stout won the final two games, 11-9, 13-11, to pull away with the match victory.
Ashanti Amastal overpowered her opponent in the No. 1 match. Amastal trailed 1-0, but responded by winning three-straight games, 11-8, 16-4, 11-3, to win her fourth match of the winter.
Rory Dasher also notched her fourth win of the year as she swept her opponent, 3-0, in the No. 2 match.
No. 22 Franklin & Marshall now gets set for the CSA Team Championships, starting on Friday.
