No. 23 Women's Squash Advances to Walker Cup Final With 6-3 Win Over No. 22 Hamilton

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (8-12) rolled past No. 22 Hamilton (9-10), 6-3, in the semifinals of the Walker Cup at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team National Championships Saturday morning. The Diplomats claimed an early advantage in the contest, winning four of the top-five individual matches.

Mia Todd swept her opponent, 3-0, in the No 3 match to claim her 10th individual victory of the year. Lavanya Seshasayee blanked her opponent, 3-0, in the No. 6 slot to improve to eight wins this season. Elisabeth Stout also recorded her eighth win of the winter, downing her opponent, 3-1, in the No. 7 match. Ashanti Amastal swept the No. 1 bout, 3-0, to pick up her fifth victory this season. Rory Dasher followed by overpowering her opponent in five-games to win the No. 2 match. Tied at 2-2, Dasher won the final game, 11-5, to take her fifth win this winter. Joey Ho came out on top of a 3-1 victory in the No. 5 match to improve to five individual wins this season.

With the win, Franklin & Marshall advances to the Walker Cup Final on Sunday. The Diplomats will take on No. 21 Saint Lawrence at 9:00 a.m.
