ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 37 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (6-3) won its final match of it spring break trip to Florida Friday afternoon as it swept Saint John's (1-6), 7-0. F&M didn't lose a match during the day, winning all three doubles and all six singles matches.
The pairing of
Zac Ashtiani and
Luke Brodsky won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-3, to record their fourth victory together this season. The duo of
Nate Arnold and
Samuel Donnelly raced past their opponents in the No. 2 match, 6-1, to earn their fourth win together this year. The tandem of
Gonzalo Gentou and
Tommy Hicks took down their opponents in the No. 3 match, 6-2, for their first win together this spring.
Ashtiani continued his dominant day, earning a 6-3, 6-2 win in the No. 1 match for his fifth singles victory this season. Donnelly followed with his eighth singles' win of the year as he downed his opponent, 6-1, 6-1, in the No. 2 match.
Carl Kamdin tallied his second victory of the year as he eased past his opponent, 6-0, 6-1, in the No. 3 match. Playing in the No. 4 match,
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach dispatched his opponent, 6-2, 6-1, to pick up his fifth win of the season.
Tucker Chesman defeated his opponent in the No. 5 match, 6-0, 6-2, to notch his third victory of the year.
Hugh Outwater closed out the day with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the No. 6 match for his second win of the spring.
No. 37 Franklin & Marshall returns to Lancaster to host No. 9 Swarthmore on Saturday, March 28Â at 1:00 p.m.
