LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the Franklin & Marshall baseball team were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Team. This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late-June. To be eligible for this honor a student-athlete most be at least a sophomore and have completed at least one full year at their current institution in addition to maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA while playing in at least half of the team's contests. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Matt Hollender,
Kiernan Keller,
Michael von Zuben, and
Tanner Wolpert all placed on the Academic All-District® Team. Keller was named to the Academic All-District® for the third-consecutive year. Von Zuben and Wolpert were recognized for the second-straight season, while Hollender earned a spot on the CSC Academic All-District® team for the first time in his career.
Hollender became the fourth player in program history to be named an All-American as he earned Second Team All-America honors from D3Baseball.com and Third Team All-America recognition from ABCA/Rawlings. Hollender led the conference with a .453 batting average, while slugging .781. The senior broke both the career-slugging record (.630) and single-season RBI record (54) in 37 starts for the Diplomats this year. Hollender also led F&M with 16 doubles, nine home runs, and an on-base percentage of .530.
Keller earned Second Team All-Centennial Conference honors, while also being named the CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Keller led the Diplomats with a 4.38 ERA, while tossing 51 strikeouts in 49.1 innings pitched this season. In 15 appearances, the senior earned two wins and two saves, while holding opponents to a .249 batting average.
Von Zuben was named a Second Team all-conference selection for the first time in his career, batting .367 with a .443 on-base percentage and .467 slugging percentage. The senior outfielder tallied 10 doubles, one triple, one home run, and 34 RBI this year. Von Zuben also recorded a team-high 43 runs scored and 13 stolen bases this spring.
Wolpert had a big year at the plate, posting a .375 batting average, .670 slugging percentage, and .472 on-base percentage. The senior recorded 10 doubles, five home runs, 38 RBI, and 40 runs scored, while notching a team-high four triples. Wolpert posted six games with three or more hits, recording a season-high four hits against Gettysburg. Wolpert also drove-in a career-high six RBI in the Diplomats' win over Fredonia.
Franklin & Marshall concluded the 2026 season with an overall record of 22-15-1, while going 8-9-1 against CC opponents.
