LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall athletic department has announced that head women's basketball coach Brianna Simkus has resigned from her position that she held for five seasons. Simkus originally joined the coaching staff as an assistant during the 2020-21 academic year. With Simkus' resignation, assistant coach Jacob Robinson will serve as interim head coach for the 2026-27 season. Robinson will be entering his third year overall on the Diplomats' coaching staff during the upcoming season.

Robinson brings coaching experience that spans each of the NCAA's three Divisions. Prior to Franklin & Marshall, he spent one season as a graduate assistant at Truman State University where he also earned his master's degree in leadership. Robinson got his start in coaching at DePaul University as a student assistant on the women's basketball team. He graduated from DePaul in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in sports communications. His final season at DePaul saw the Blue Demons advance to the NCAA Division I Tournament.

Women's basketball will open its 2026-27 season on Saturday, November 7 at Lycoming. The first home game of the season is slated for Saturday, November 14 against Misericordia at 1 p.m.
