ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Junior Sarah Wang was the individual medalist in her fall debut as she helped the Franklin & Marshall women's golf team place second overall out of five teams at the McDaniel Fall Invitational. Hood took home the team title, while the Diplomats were the top school in the Centennial Conference – defeating both Dickinson's A and & teams along with McDaniel.

Wang birdied her second hole of the day to go under par early and finished with two birdies during her round on her way to shooting a seven-over (79). She topped her closest competitor in the field by three strokes.

Allie Tarreto just missed a top-five finish as she turned in a card of 90 during a sixth-place showing. Emily Pollard (100) and Olivia Kim (104) were also among the top 15 finishers in a field of 28 competitors. Olivia Muller competed as an individual and was right behind Kim in the individual standings with a score of 105, while Sarah DesChamps carded a 128 as the fifth golfer on the team.

Women's golf will now have back-to-back events to officially wrap up the fall semester of competition. Both of those competitions will take place this coming weekend. The Diplomats open a busy weekend at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational on Saturday, September 26 before competing in McDaniel's Tri-Match on Sunday, September 27.
