Tara Silverman has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the first time in her career. Silverman takes home the first weekly honor of the 2026 season after claiming the individual title at the season-opening Little Three Meet.

In addition to her individual success, Silverman's first-place finish led the Diplomats to their first team title at the annual event with Gettysburg and Dickinson since the 1994 season. Those rival teams entered the season ranked third and fourth in the regional preseason polls. Silverman completed the two-mile race in 11:54, edging teammate Maren Blanks by less than second for the top spot.

Silverman's latest honor comes after she was an All-Centennial Conference and All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection during the 2025 cross country team. Franklin & Marshall returns to action this coming week as the team treks to Dickinson for the Long-Short Invitational on Saturday, September 12.
