Becki joined the Diplomat Sports Medicine Staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Fall of 2016 and took over as the Associate Athletic Trainer in the Fall of 2019. She comes to F&M by way of McDaniel College where she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer for 10 years.
Prior to her time at McDaniel she worked at Gettysburg College as an Outreach Athletic Trainer through Gettysburg Hospital from 2003-2006. Shearer joined the Diplomat program with more than 13 years of experience caring for student-athlete health and safety at the collegiate level, and more specifically, all within the Centennial Conference.Â
As the Supervisor for the Sports Medicine Department’s Student Work Study Program, Becki oversees the training and scheduling of our thriving student employment workforce. She has a strong passion for the sport of Wrestling and works primarily with our Division I Wrestling program during the Winter sports season.
Shearer holds a BLS Instructor certification from the American Heart Association. She is a 2002 Graduate of Messiah College with a BA degree in Athletic Training and 2010 Graduate of McDaniel College with a MS in Exercise Science and Physical Education with a concentration in Scientific Perspectives.
Shearer currently resides in Hanover, Pa.
