Shayna Landis joined the Franklin & Marshall field hockey program as an assistant coach in 2019 and will enter her fourth season with the program in the fall of 2022.

During her first year as an assistant coach, she helped to deliver one of the most successful seasons in F&M history, setting five individual program records while remaining one of the top-ranked teams in Division III, culminating in a finish as the national runner-up. Landis was also part of a staff that garnered NFHCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year accolades.

Graduating from Messiah College in December 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Business with a Human Services minor, Landis was a four-year standout for the Falcons. She was a two-time MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year selection and a two-time NFHCA All-American. Landis was a key member of both the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championship team, as well as the 2017 squad that finished as the nation’s runner-up.

Landis excelled in the classroom as well during her time at Messiah, earning the MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete award for field hockey while earning places on the MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll and NFHCA Academic Squad all four years of her career.

She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work from Millersville University and serves as a graduate assistant for the school’s social work department.
