Franklin & Marshall College

A tremendous leader with experience as a football coach who also spent time with the United States Navy, Mike Shinkus is in his second year on the Franklin & Marshall coaching staff after joining the program as the outside linebackers coach prior to the 2022 season. Two linebackers earned All-Centennial Conference accolades during his first year with the Diplomats in 2022. Prior to Franklin & Marshall, Shinkus spent two years as the assistant defensive line coach at nearby Millersville. During his time on that staff, Shinkus earned his master’s degree in environmental health and safety.

Shinkus played collegiately at Kutztown as a linebacker and graduated in 2016 with a degree in criminal justice. In addition to his playing experience in college, Shinkus served the country admiably during his time as a member of the United State Navy for six years (20140-20) before joining the staff at Millersville.
