Franklin & Marshall College

Ric Dawkins joined the Franklin & Marshall football coaching staff for the 2021 season after several successful seasons at the high school level. Prior to joining the Diplomats, Dawkins spent two years at St. Mary Ryken High School in Maryland where he spent time as the defensive line coach and recruiting assistant. St. Mary Ryken competed in one of the top conferences nationally and went 18-5 during his two seasons, including back-to-back championships. Prior to that position, he served coached at Riverdale Baptist School where he worked primarily with the defense. Fifty percent of Riverdale’s seniors were offered athletic scholarships at the college level.

Dawkins graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) with his degree in communications after transferring from Howard University. At UMGC, he was also a part of the Student Advisory Council and a member of the University System of Maryland Student Council.
