David Heinzelmann joined the Franklin & Marshall tennis program as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams prior to the start of the 2019-20 season. He spent the previous seven seasons as an assistant coach at York College. Heinzelmann is also a tennis professional at the YACTA tennis club.
