Katina Jones

Katina Jones joined the Franklin & Marshall men’s and women’s tennis coaching staffs at the start of the 2022-23 academic season. Jones brings a vast knowledge to the game as both a high-level player and coach as she joins the Diplomats having spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at Millersville University. Jones stepped into her coaching role at Millersville after graduating from the Marauders program where she played No. 1 singles and doubles during each of her final three seasons.

With Jones as a coach, Millersville qualified for the PSAC Team Championships on both the men’s and women’s sides during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. That success was highlighted by a run to the PSAC Championship by the women’s team during the spring of 2021. Her success as an assistant coach came after a decorated playing career where she led the Millersville women back to the postseason as a senior.

Jones was named a first-team All-PSAC East selection in singles during each of her final three seasons. The local native was also a two-time all-conference selection in doubles following a decorated high school career as a three-time league and district champion. In addition to her coaching experience at Millersville, Jones has also served as a camp instructor during summers throughout her collegiate career. She graduated Cum Laude from Millersville with a bachelor’s degree in biology, while minoring in biochemistry and psychology.
