<p>Marissa Molnar joined the Franklin & Marshall women’s basketball team as an assistant coach for 2022-23 season and is in her second year with the Diplomats. Molnar brought three years of college coaching experience to F&M, having previously spent time as an assistant at Bloomsburg and Misericordia.</p>
<p>Prior to joining the Diplomats, Molnar served as a graduate assistant at Misericordia during the previous two seasons. While there, she led the Cougars to a 16-11 overall record and an appearance in the MAC Freedom semifinals during the team’s full return to play during the 2021-22 season. Despite facing a shortened first year, Molnar helped coach four players to all-conference honors at Misericordia where the team was twice named to the WBCA Top 25 Academic Honor Roll. With the Cougars, Molnar was primarily responsible for recruiting, setting practice plans, conducting individual workouts, and arranging team travel. She graduated from Misericordia in the spring of 2022 with her MBA in sports management.</p>
<p>Getting her start in college coaching at Bloomsburg, Molnar led her alma mater to 14 wins and PSAC quarterfinals appearance during the 2019-20 season. She joined the coaching staff immediately after her graduation from Bloomsburg after earning her bachelor’s degree in education, specializing in early childhood and special education. During her playing career, Molnar appeared in over 100 games for the Huskies, helping the team to four consecutive appearances in the conference tournament.</p>
<p>Molnar has additionally spent time as a camp counselor at the Keystone State Elite Camp and McDowell Girl’s Basketball Camp, while also helping to run college clinics at both Misericordia and Bloomsburg.</p>
