RADNOR, PA - Cabrini College's Sean Dugan scored with 22 seconds on the game clock to force overtime as the Cavaliers played to a 2-2 tie with Franklin & Marshall College in non-conference men's soccer action.
Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Cavaliers chipped away at the lead as Nick Fenton scored off an assist from Brent Benner at the 56:32 mark before Fenton fed Dugan at 89:38 to knot the game at 2-2.
The Diplomats built their lead in the closing minutes of the first half as Chris Campbell (Fr., Narberth, PA/Friends Central) beat Cabrini goalie Andrew Brady with 16:56 left in the half. Alex Sanchez Sierra (Sr., Tangier, Morocco/American School of Tangier) tacked on another goal with six seconds remaining in the half as Ryan McGonigle (Fr., Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) tallied an assist.
In goal, Ed Stelz (So., Kew Gardens, NY/Loomis Chaffee) made seven saves, while Brady stopped five shots.
Franklin & Marshall College (1-1-1, 0-0 CC) will return to action on September 18 at McDaniel College in the Diplomats' Centennial Conference season opener. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
