WESTMINSTER, MD -- McDaniel College's Leon Mach passed a ball across the net to Bill Druckenmiller at the 103:08 mark for the game-winner as the Green Terror defeated the Franklin & Marshall College men's soccer team in double overtime 2-1.

The Diplomats found the back of the net first as Brandon Corday (Fr., Morton Grove, IL/Niles Township) dished a pass to Chris Campbell (Fr., Narberth, PA/Friends Central) who buried the shot courtesy a header to give Franklin & Marshall a 1-0 lead 20:51 into the game.

McDaniel responded 16 minutes into the second half when Brian Samartino rebounded a loose ball following a shot by David Long to knot the score at 1-1 as neither team could score for the remainder of regulation.

In the first overtime, the Diplomats had the only scoring chance with one shot on goal, but McDaniel goalie Andrew Wu recorded his fifth save of the game to second the contest into a second overtime.

Three minutes and eight seconds into the second overtime period Mach found Druckenmiller with the game winner as the Terror improved to 4-2, 1-0 in the Centennial Conference, while Franklin & Marshall fell to 1-2-1, 0-1 in Centennial Conference play.

In goal, Ed Stelz (So., Kew Gardens, NY/Loomis Chaffee) made nine saves, while Wu stopped six shots.

Franklin & Marshall College (1-2-1, 0-1 CC) will return to action on September 18 at McDaniel College in the Diplomats' Centennial Conference season opener. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
