Elizabethtown Downs Franklin & Marshall 82-68 in Women's Basketball

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - Franklin & Marshall center Lauren Dodrill (Sr., Timonium, MD/Roland Park) scored 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for her Centennial Conference leading 12th double-double of the season, but Elizabethtown's Dana Voit drained six-of-nine three point attempts as part of a game high 23 points performance as the Blue jays downed the Diplomats 82-62 in non-conference women's basketball action.

Dodrill's performance raises her career rebound total to 524 as she surpasses Cathy Belser '90 (522) for 11th on the school record board.

The Diplomats jumped out to a quick lead in the game as Dodrill hit a jumper seven seconds into the contest for a 2-0 lead. Amanda Reid answered for Elizabethtown (7-10, 3-5 Middle Atlantic Conference) with a jumper at 19:40 before Voit hit a pair of free throws at 19:25 to give the Blue Jays a 4-2 lead. F&M went ahead as point guard Dana Johns (Jr., York, PA/Eastern York) dropped the first of her game high 19 points with a three-pointer to put the Diplomats in front 5-4 at 19:03. However, Elizabethtown reeled off a 9-2 run to take a 13-7 lead at 15:48 as the Diplomats failed to cut the lead below three points for the remainder of the game.

Leading 40-30 at halftime, Elizabethtown added to its lead as Erin Walton hit six-of-10 from the floor and four-of-five at the free throw line for 16 second half points as the 'Jays pulled away for the win.

Walton finished with 20 points and six rebounds in the game, while Jen Roberts tacked on 18 points and Amanda Reid tallied eight points and 11 boards to lead the 'Jays to their seventh win of the season.

For F&M, forward Emily Weaver (So., Prince Frederick, MD/Calverton) chipped in 13 points and six rebounds, while Johns added seven assists and seven steals to fall short of her first career triple-double as the Diplomats fall to 13-21 all-time against Elizabethtown.

Overall, Elizabethtown shot 46.8% (29-of-62) from the field, including six-of-15 from beyond the arc, and 81.8% (18-of-22) from the free throw line with 15 turnovers and 12 steals, while Franklin & Marshall connected on 35.9% (23-of-64) from the floor, including seven-of-19 from long range, and 78.9% (15-of-19) at the charity stripe with 19 turnovers and 12 steals.
