Streaking Dutch Drop Diplomats

ANNEVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley won its ninth-straight home game defeating Franklin & Marshall 8-2 Sunday afternoon. The Dutchmen (16-15) picked up their 14th victory in its last 16 games, while the Diplomats fell to 19-11.

LVC scored a pair of unearned runs in the first and never looked back, racing out to a 5-0 lead before F&M got on the board in the sitxth. Tom Miller's leadoff single in that inning became the Diplomats' first run. He stole his way into scoring position, then scored when Rich Gallugi reached on an error. Miller finished the game 2-for-4.

Dutch starter Mike Snyder limited Franklin & Marshall to six hits and one run over seven innings. He blanked the Diplomats over the first five frames before allowing his only run in the sixth on two hits and one error.

Franklin & Marshall returns to the diamond for its final home game on Wednesday against York.
