LANCASTER, Pa. - The College of New Jersey and the Franklin
& Marshall women's swimming team exchanged wins in the first
two events but the Lions went on to capture the next five enroute
to a 121-81 victory over the Diplomats in non-conference action on
Saturday.
TCNJ was led by Traci Hofer, who picked up two individual wins
and a relay victory. She edged Brittany McCabe with a time of 25.29
to 25.67 for first in the 50 free and then barely beat Katherine
DeCrosta in the 100 free (56.14).
Olivia Hill recorded first-place finishes in the distance
events, winning the 1000 free in 10:57.50 and the 500 free,
touching in 5:25.87. McCabe and was the other winner for F&M
(1-2), taking the 100 back with a time of 1:00.53.
The Lions took the top two spots in the 200 free thanks to
Stefanie Rashti and Sara Casciano, while doing the same in the 200
IM by Brittany Collyer and Courtney Fuhro.
The Diplomats return to action a week from today at Swarthmore,
beginning at 2 p.m.
