LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall won five of the 14
races in a 156-101 loss to Johns Hopkins on Saturday. Matt Jaffee
and Tom Grabiak accounted for four of the five wins.
Jaffee posted a .47 second win in the 100-yard backstroke over
teammate, Connor Finnegan for a bundle of F&M points. His edge
was more decisive in the 200-yard backstroke, where he logged a
1:59.63, followed again by Finnegan at 2:03.37. Grabiak squeaked
out a .42 second win over Tim Nam in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Grabiak put up a 1:00.55. He timed a 2:02.36 for first place points
in the 200-yard I.M. with Jaffee taking second. Hopkins fielded
exhibition entries in the race as the meet had been decided.
Jaffee, Grabiak, Zach Wilt and Peter Fishler clocked a 1:39.58
in the 200-yard medley relay, coming in just a second behind the
Hopkins foursome.
The Diplomats return to action on Friday, November
14th at The College of New Jersey.
